Hours: 8.20am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday, plus 3 after-school club sessions per week until 6.00pm
Contract: Temporary 12-month Maternity Cover
Term: Term Time Only (38 weeks)

Salary: Grade 4, Points 4-6 (£13.42 - £13.84 per hour)

We are seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to work alongside our talented Early Years teacher, supporting high-quality learning and care for our youngest children and helping to give them the very best start to their school journey.

The Role

Working closely with our EYFS Teacher, you will:

• Support teaching and learning across Nursery and Reception.
• Deliver planned learning activities and interventions for individuals and small groups.
• Nurture children's social, emotional and physical development.
• Contribute to assessment and monitoring of pupil progress.
• Assist in creating a stimulating and engaging learning environment.
• Work in partnership with parents, staff and external agencies where appropriate.
• Support children's wellbeing and ensure their safety at all times.
• Help deliver our after-school provision on three afternoons each week.

What We Are Looking For

We would welcome applications from candidates who:

• Hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
• Have experience working within an EYFS setting.
• Understand the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
• Are enthusiastic, caring and committed to helping children achieve their potential.
• Have excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Value teamwork and positive relationships with families.
• Share our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable qualifications and experience include:

• Paediatric First Aid qualification.
• Experience working in a primary school environment.
• Additional safeguarding or pastoral training.
• Experience supporting children with additional needs.
