PPA Cover Teacher

We are seeking an adaptable, enthusiastic, and reliable PPA Cover Teacher to deliver high-quality teaching across various year groups in our welcoming primary school community. In this role, you will step in during designated Planning, Preparation, and Assessment (PPA) time, delivering structured, pre-planned lessons and ensuring a smooth, engaging learning experience for pupils.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned, high-quality lessons across Early Years, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2.

• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that supports learning.

• Implement effective classroom management and follow school behaviour policies consistently.

• Adapt quickly to different year groups, age ranges, and learning needs.

• Leave detailed handover notes for class teachers regarding pupil progress, completed work, and classroom dynamics.

• Uphold strict safeguarding and child protection standards at all times.

What We Are Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

• Strong knowledge of the UK Primary Curriculum across EYFS, KS1, and/or KS2.

• Excellent classroom management skills and adaptability across different age groups.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teaching assistants and permanent staff.

• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

• Right to work in the UK.
