STORES OPERATIVE – Droylsden

Bennett Staff are looking to recruit for a Temporary Stores Operative for our client based in Droylsden, Manchester. This role is to start ASAP on a Temporary Basis.

Details for the role:

To ensure the Production department is supplied with raw materials to manufacture products in line with demand. To ensure accurate stock holding within the Department Role

Summary:

Handling and movement of materials within the Raw Materials and Goods In department.

Material Issue to Manufacturing.

Put away of new raw materials from the Goods In area and Sub-Assemblies/ Engineered parts manufactured In-House.

Kitting of Raw Materials to satisfy Production Jobs, and physical movement / transfer of those parts.  Completion of regular stock counts to ensure material quantity accuracy.

Kitting & Kanban

The picking of components for kits from defined locations using HHT’s. The Kanban replenishment of Production Locations using HHT’s. The collection of FGS parts from a separate warehouse on site. The use of vertical carousels. The transfer of picked items to the correct shop floor locations. Accurate counting ability is essential.

Physical Receipt

Receiving and locating of completed sub-assemblies (In-House Manufacturing) to Raw Material Bin locations, including accurate physical count checking and HHT use. Put away of new Raw Materials parts and components from Goods In, using HHT and physical count checking.

PI Counting (Stock taking)

The accurate physical counting of specific stores inventory parts on an ongoing basis. Housekeeping Ensuring all duties are carried out in a tidy manner and complying with on-going housekeeping procedures.

Health & Safety

Compliance with all Health and Safety Policies within the Company, including but not limited to Manual Handling and PPE.

Any additional duties deemed appropriate which are within the job holders’ capabilities.

What else you need to know:

• 8.00 am to 4.30 pm (Monday to Thursday)
• 8.00 am to 12.00 pm (Friday)
• Canteen and company parking
• 12 weeks temporary to permanent
• Pay Rate: Starting at £13.50 per hour.
