Automatic Cutting Machine Operator – Birmingham

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an Automatic Cutting Machine Operator to join our well-established client based in Birmingham.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering ongoing work, full training, excellent rates of pay, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position with a successful and growing business.

This is a temporary to permanent position for the right candidate.

This would suit applicants who have worked as a Production Operative, Machine Operative or Assembly Operative.

Rates of Pay:

• £13.00 per hour
• Weekly pay

Shift Pattern:

Your shift pattern as an Automatic Cutting Machine Operator will be:

• Monday: 9:00am to 6:00pm
• Tuesday: 9:00am to 6:00pm
• Wednesday: 9:00am to 5:00pm
• Thursday: 9:00am to 5:00pm
• Friday: 9:00am to 4:30pm

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as an Automatic Cutting Machine Operator are:

• Picking materials from warehouse shelving based on customer order requirements
• Reading labels and identifying the correct materials
• Moving materials to the workbench ready for processing
• Operating a cutting machine to cut materials to specific lengths
• Ensuring materials are cut accurately and to customer specifications
• Maintaining a clean and organised working area
• Following all health and safety procedures at all times
• Supporting general warehouse activities where required

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an Automatic Cutting Machine Operator, you will need:

• Previous warehouse experience
• Good attention to detail
• The ability to read and understand labels accurately
• To be comfortable physically moving materials around the warehouse
• A reliable and punctual attitude
• A willingness to learn new skills
• The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
• A positive approach to work

Training:

• Full training provided on the cutting machine
• On-the-job training and support
• Ongoing development throughout your assignment
• No previous cutting machine experience required
