People Solutions are currently recruiting for Workshop Machine Operatives to join our well-established client based in Ashton, Wigan.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business where you will play a vital role in the manufacture of bespoke products.

This would suit applicants who have worked as a CNC Machine Operative, CNC Operator or Manufacturing Operative.

Rates of Pay:

• £13.50 per hour

Shift Pattern:

Your shift pattern as a Workshop Machine Operative will be:

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am to 5:00pm
• Friday: 8:00am to 3:45pm

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a Workshop Machine Operative are:

• Operating beam saws safely and efficiently
• Operating CNC machinery
• Following technical drawings and work instructions
• Operating routers
• Manufacturing bespoke products to specification
• Carrying out general workshop duties
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Following health and safety procedures at all times

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a Workshop Machine Operative, you will need:

• Previous experience operating CNC machinery
• Previous experience operating routers and beam saws
• The ability to read and follow technical drawings
• Excellent timekeeping and attendance
• A strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Good attention to detail
• To be available for an immediate start

Training:

• Ongoing support throughout your assignment
• Industry-related training provided where required
• Development opportunities within the business
