We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher or Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join our dedicated team and help our pupils achieve their full potential. The Role As a class teacher, you will: * Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils. * Create a stimulating, safe and inclusive learning environment. * Lead, manage and motivate learning support assistants effectively. * Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress and achievement. * Implement and develop the school’s curriculum for pupils with complex and severe learning difficulties. * Work closely with parents, carers and a range of external professionals. * Contribute to Annual Reviews and multi-agency meetings. * Promote pupils’ wellbeing, independence and personal development. * Support inclusion opportunities both within and beyond the school environment. * Contribute to curriculum development and whole-school improvement initiatives. We Are Looking for Someone Who Essential * Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is working towards completion of an ECT programme. * Is an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations for all learners. * Has strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Is enthusiastic, creative and committed to continuous professional development. * Works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. * Can establish positive professional relationships with pupils, parents, carers and external professionals. * Has a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Desirable * Experience of teaching pupils with SEND, particularly those with PMLD, SLD and/or ASD. * Knowledge of approaches such as Makaton, TEACCH, PECS, Intensive Interaction, Sensory Integration and Objects of Reference. * Experience of leading and managing support staff. * Experience of leading a curriculum area or subject. * Additional qualifications relating to Special Educational Needs. * Team Teach or other positive behaviour support training
