Mechanical Engineer/Plumber - London

Summary
My client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer/Plumber to join their team in London.

Responsible for carrying out reactive maintenance repairs and planned preventive maintenance (PPM) across the site.

The role involves inspecting and maintaining commercial plumbing systems, fault finding, and undertaking repairs to ensure efficient and reliable operation of plant and services.

Plumbing duties include repair and replacement of toilets, sinks, taps, valves, pipework, pumps, and heating elements, as well as unblocking and servicing tasks.

You will also be responsible for completing risk assessments, method statements, and compliance documentation to maintain high standards of quality and safety.

Skills
Extensive knowledge of commercial plumbing systems
Strong fault finding and logical thinking skills
Ability to work on own initiative and unsupervised
Good written and verbal communication skills
Team player with flexibility and adaptability
Proficient in completing risk assessments and method statements
Ability to maintain and safely use company tools and equipment
Experience in reactive maintenance and PPM tasks
Smart and presentable appearance
Commitment to health and safety compliance

Software/Tools
Client CAFM systems (e.g., Corrigo) for task updates and reporting
Certifications & Standards
C&G 6035 Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Plumbing or equivalent qualification/apprenticeship
BPEC Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999
Legionella / L8 Qualification
Health and Safety training including continued professional development (CPD)

This is a temp to perm role paying £20.83 per hour PAYE + holiday pay or £27.50 per hour Umbrella.
