Staffordshire - Hybrid 2 days per week at Head Office

Salary to circa £60K dependent on experience + bonus & benefits

Our client is a mortgage and savings provider looking to evolve and grow its specialist lending offering. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced management accountant who has worked directly for a lender within the mortgages and savings industry. The major focus of the role is to lead the delivery of management accounts, and you will also regularly be involved in budgeting, forecasting, modelling, treasury and financial analysis.

Duties will include:

• Preparing and delivering Management Accounts Packs, preparing statutory accounts and supporting the external audit.
• Investigating and reporting on key discrepancies between performance, budgets and forecasts.
• Collaborating with non-financial department heads to provide financial insight and align financial performance with operational goals.
• Preparing and contributing to PRA/FCA regulatory returns and reporting.
• Running scenario analysis and business case modelling to assess new projects and investment opportunities.
• Managing treasury activities such as daily liquidity monitoring, treasury accounting, settlements, reconciliations and operational controls.
• Line management of 2 direct reports.

The successful individual will possess:

• Proven experience as a management accountant working directly for a lender within the mortgage and savings sector.
• Qualified, part-qualified or actively studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or able to demonstrate equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience with PRA and FCA regulatory reporting.
• Proven experience preparing full management accounts packs and managing month-end and year-end close processes.
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and commercial financial modelling.
• Ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
