We’re working with a leading M&E contractor based in Chelmsford who are looking to strengthen their commercial team with an Intermediate Mechanical Estimator. Our client works closely with a range of Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors, as well as several well-known end clients, delivering mechanical solutions across a diverse range of commercial projects.
The Opportunity

As an Intermediate Mechanical Estimator, you’ll be involved in pricing a variety of exciting projects, gaining exposure to some of the most technically interesting work across the sector.

Projects include:

• Theatres and entertainment venues
• Schools and education facilities
• Hospitals and healthcare projects
• MOD and government facilities
• Corporate offices
• High-spec commercial developments

You’ll work closely with the wider pre-construction and commercial teams, developing your estimating skills while learning from some genuinely experienced people within the industry.
About You

We’re looking for someone with a solid grounding in mechanical estimating who is ready to broaden their experience and take on greater responsibility.

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience working as a Mechanical Estimator within the building services/M&E sector
• A good understanding of mechanical building services
• Experience pricing mechanical packages from drawings, specifications and tender documents
• The ability to produce accurate and competitive estimates
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
• Good communication skills and the confidence to work with clients, contractors and internal teams
• A genuine desire to develop your career within a high-performing M&E business
