Job Title: Food & PE Technician 

Actual Annual Salary: £16,435 - £17,913 based on the hours and weeks worked. 

Full Time Equivalent Salary: £26,798 - £29,208 (CLF Grade B) based on 37 hours per week, all year round.  

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract until 31 August 2027 

Hours: Part-time, 26.5 hours per week, Term Time only, plus insets 

Working Pattern: Monday 9:30-15:00, Tuesday 8:30-15:00, Wednesday 8:30-13:30, Thursday 8:30-12:.30 and Friday 8:30-13:30 – Flexibility maybe offered for the right applicant.

To be successful in the post, we are looking for a technician who will provide technical assistance and support to meet the practical requirements of the Food and PE department. This may include setting up equipment in both departments, preparing curriculum resources, as well as reprographics across both departments.  

They will prepare, provide, maintain and manage the necessary resources and information required to enable safe and engaging practical activities to be undertaken by staff and students.  Maintain an appropriate Health and Safety culture ensuring that all relevant Health and Safety regulations and guidelines are always adhered to.  

About you:  

You will have:  

• Good Literacy and numeracy skills (including GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above – or equivalent qualifications). 
• Hold a relevant vocational qualification – e.g Food Hygiene Certificate 
• Educated to a minimum of A Level standard in Design Technology or equivalent experience 
• Excellent time management skills 
• Great communication and interpersonal skills.
