Delivery Manager - Transformation - FTC

Our client, a leading organisation in the defence and security sector, is seeking a Transformation Delivery Manager to lead complex business transformation initiatives from mobilisation through to implementation and handover. Based in Glenrothes, this 12-month fixed-term contract offers hybrid working with three days per week on site.
Working within the PMO and reporting to the IBP Lead, you will manage cross-functional projects involving process redesign, systems implementation, operating model change and governance improvement. You will support UK readiness for a future enterprise resource planning transformation, ensuring projects deliver measurable benefits and align with established project management frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full accountability for assigned transformation initiatives from mobilisation to implementation and handover
• Develop and maintain project plans covering scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, benefits and resources
• Lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring clear ownership and accountability
• Manage project governance, reporting and assurance in line with organisational standards
• Identify, assess and mitigate delivery risks, escalating issues where appropriate
• Drive stakeholder engagement across operational, functional and leadership teams
• Support process standardisation, system implementation, operating model redesign and capability improvement
• Prepare and present clear updates for senior stakeholders, steering committees and programme boards

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Transformation Delivery Manager or Project Manager delivering complex projects end to end
• Experience managing multiple workstreams and stakeholders within complex, matrixed environments
• Strong experience delivering process, systems or operating model change
• Excellent planning, organisation and execution skills with a focus on measurable outcomes
• Ability to work autonomously, take ownership and drive delivery with limited supervision
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including confidence engaging with senior leaders
• Experience producing high-quality project documentation, reporting and governance materials
• Formal project management training or certification, with eligibility for relevant project management tier certification

Desirable Experience:

• Experience delivering transformation within large, regulated or complex organisations
• Exposure to enterprise resource planning, planning tools or data platform implementations
• Experience working within a formal enterprise PMO or governance framework
• Understanding of change management and supporting the adoption of new processes and systems
• Background in manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, defence or technology environments
• Ability to bring structure to under-defined initiatives and work effectively with senior transformation leaders
