Site Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a leading company in the Transmission and Distribution (T & D) sector, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a contract basis. This role plays a critical part in managing the financial and commercial aspects of major projects aimed at enhancing the electrical grid infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing all aspects of quantity surveying on large-scale T & D projects
• Managing project budgets, forecasting costs, and ensuring financial control
• Preparing detailed reports and contractual documents
• Assessing and managing commercial risks associated with projects
• Providing expert advice on contract and commercial issues
• Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve cost-effective project solutions
• Ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards
• Collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure successful project delivery

Job Requirements:

• Significant experience in quantity surveying within the T & D or related sectors
• Strong commercial acumen and excellent negotiation skills
• Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools
• Understanding of contract law and standard forms of contract
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
