Overview

Corrie Recruitment are working with an established Inverness-based Civil Engineering Contractor to recruit a Civils Quantity Surveyor for a permanent position.

Operating throughout the Highlands and Islands, the contractor delivers projects across renewable energy, infrastructure and construction.

This role would ideally suit a Quantity Surveyor with 3–5 years’ experience across these sectors, looking to take ownership of awarded contracts from pre-construction through to final account.

Based primarily in the Inverness office, the role will involve regular site visits, with support and guidance provided by the Commercial Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing awarded contracts from pre-construction through to final account
• Supporting the commercial management of civil engineering projects
• Monitoring project costs, budgets and financial performance
• Preparing and managing valuations, variations and final accounts
• Liaising with site teams, clients, subcontractors and suppliers
• Undertaking regular site visits to support effective commercial management
• Working closely with the Commercial Manager throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

• Ideally 3–5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role
• Experience with renewables, infrastructure and/or construction contracts
• Understanding of commercial management from pre-construction to final account
• Strong organisational, analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with site and commercial teams
• Willingness to undertake regular site visits
