Administration Officer - Data Quality Assistant (Water Permits Data)
Location: Reading (Hybrid)

Join Our Client, a reputable Government organisation, as a Data Quality Assistant supporting the quality and accuracy of water quality permits across England. You'll help resolve discrepancies between scanned permit documents and data held across two systems-making sure records are correct, consistent and ready for the next phase of a major migration project.

What you'll be doing:
* Perform quality checks and make data amendments to support the migration process
* Monitor and process data quality requests received through a shared inbox
* Check outgoing data against defined quality standards and agreed rules
* Identify discrepancies between digital records and the original physical permit documents
* Record outcomes of your quality assurance monitoring and communicate results to your Team Leader
* Spot patterns, risks and recurring data quality issues to help drive improvements
* Maintain confidentiality of documentation and data in line with organisational expectations

What you'll bring:
* Excellent attention to detail, with a strong commitment to accuracy and consistency
* Confident use of Microsoft Excel and the ability to learn new custom software/database management systems
* A logical, process-driven and methodical approach to investigating and resolving issues
* Clear time management skills to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards
* Strong customer care when responding to internal requests

Additional information:
* Working hours: Mon-Fri, 9-5 for initial training, then flexible shifts between 7am and 7pm afterwards
* Hybrid working: predominantly from home, with attendance required at the office 2 days per month across different UK locations (travel expenses reimbursed)
* Pay rate: £15.46 per hour | Assignment: until 31/03/27 | Proposed start: asap
