We’re recruiting for a Chef to join a friendly contract catering team in Plymouth, working within a busy office building. This is a 12-week temp-to-perm opportunity, offering a stable working pattern and the chance to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

You’ll be responsible for running a small staff restaurant serving buffet-style breakfast and lunch to around 40 customers each day. You’ll work independently, so this role is ideal if you’re confident managing both the kitchen and customer-facing side of the operation.

Key Responsibilities

As the Chef, you’ll take ownership of the staff restaurant and be responsible for:

• Preparing and serving buffet-style breakfast and lunch
• Running the kitchen and managing the day-to-day operation
• Serving customers and providing a friendly service
• Operating the till when required
• Maintaining high food hygiene and health & safety standards

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Previous Chef experience
• Ideally worked within a contract catering environment
• Confidence working independently
• Good customer service skills and a positive attitude
• Strong food hygiene and kitchen safety awareness
