Senior Civil & Structural Technician

Wakefield, West Yorkshire Calibre Search Senior Civil & Structural Technician Wakefield I'm working with an established Civil & Structural Engineering Consultancy in Wakefield who are looking to add an experienced Technician to their team There's no massive rebuild or complicated story behind this one - they're busy, they could do with another experienced pair of hands and want somebody who can come in and get on with the job without needing loads of supervision. You'll be working across the usual mixture of Civil & Structural projects, producing and coordinating drawings alongside the engineering team and working closely with an experienced BIM Manager who covers both disciplines. On the civils side, you'll be getting involved with things like drainage, highways, infrastructure, levels and external works, while the structural workload will cover the usual building structures and detailing across a variety of projects and materials. You don't need to be an RC detailing specialist. The business generally outsources its reinforcement detailing, so they're much more interested in finding somebody with good all-round C&S experience who understands how consultancy projects fit together and can produce good quality, coordinated drawings. They use Civil 3D and Revit, so ideally you'll be comfortable with both, although they'll consider somebody stronger in one discipline if the overall experience is there. This would suit an experienced Technician or Senior Technician who enjoys being involved across both Civil & Structural work and wants to join a small team where they'll be trusted to manage their own workload. They're thinking somewhere around £40,000 - £50,000, depending on experience. One thing worth knowing upfront is that this is an office-based role in Wakefield, five days a week. They don't currently offer working from home, so you'll need to be happy being part of the team in the office full-time.
