This locum opportunity runs from ASAP to 31 December 2026 and offers a varied role across gastroenterology clinics, ward-based care, and on-call commitments. The post includes weekday and weekend working to support service provision and maintain high-quality patient care. Working alongside an established multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in delivering specialist gastroenterology services within a busy acute hospital environment. Key Details

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver specialist Gastroenterology care across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Undertake gastroenterology outpatient clinics and ward rounds
• Participate in the on-call rota as required
• Support weekend service provision to ensure continuity of care
• Work collaboratively with consultants, nursing staff, allied health professionals, and the wider multidisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards
• Contribute to safe, effective, and patient-centred service delivery
• Report to Level 9A East and support departmental objectives

What We're Looking For

• Active GMC registration with a licence to practise
• Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register for Gastroenterology (essential)
• Relevant recent NHS experience at Consultant level
• Ability to work independently and as part of an established multidisciplinary team
• Strong clinical judgement, communication skills, and professionalism
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
