Tooling Coordinator

Tooling Coordinator; Burnley; 6-month contract; £18.84ph payee; Inside IR35
We have an opportunity for an individual to join a busy tooling team based with an aerospace client in Burnley , dealing with the administration tasks associated with repair and refurbishment of equipment. The role will support the development, industrialisation and sustainment of the Tooling Engineering processes to meet the requirements of HSE, quality, cost and delivery. This is a initial 6 month contract with review to extend.
Role tasks
Manage Tooling Notification requests - assess tool data integrity and completeness, download onto Tooling Tracker and assign priority.
Manage Tooling Engineer’s priorities and schedules taking into consideration business needs .
Communicate progression of projects to all stakeholders – hold weekly meetings.
Manage tooling projects with detailed progression timelines and liaise with all stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met
Raise request for quotations in accordance with detailed technical requirements.
Raise purchase requisitions through SAP and Ariba ensuring use of correct accounting codes and push through to PO.
Manage Supplier POs to ensure orders arrive within agreed delivery terms and meet Production demands
Maintain accurate records in accordance with airworthiness requirements.
Attend project technical review meetings; record minutes and ensure they are actioned within agreed timeframe.
Create suitable KPI’s for Department reviews.
Skills & Qualities
Sound understanding of technical documentation control.
Proven competency in organising multi-faceted documentation portfolios.
Experience of data extraction from mainstream electronic information systems.
Good awareness of the typical Tooling/Manufacturing Engineering activities and associated data content.
Demonstrable experience of timely task delivery to support programme requirements.
Promoter of product and process integrity through accurate and reliable information management.
Ability to work independently when supporting industrialisation processes
Take a proactive approach to process knowledge to evolve
awareness of technical documentation.
Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 in Business Studies or similar
Tools:
Familiar with the information systems used in engineering: SAP, Ariba, PLM and CATIA.
Familiar with desktop tools (I.e. Microsoft suite).
Appreciation of project management principles.
Skills:
Communication: Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Ability to escalate at the right time and at the right level.
A good team player , proactive
