Junior Legal Secretary

We are working with a leading specialist Intellectual Property firm in London who are looking for a Junior Legal Secretary to join their growing team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with around 6 months–1 year of experience working as a Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant or Junior PA within a law firm, particularly someone who has supported solicitors in a Litigation environment.

The role will initially focus on more junior legal support and secretarial responsibilities, with the opportunity to develop your knowledge and experience within Intellectual Property over time.

The Role

• Providing administrative and legal support to solicitors within the team
• Preparing, formatting and proofreading legal documents and correspondence
• Assisting with document management and maintaining accurate files
• Preparing bundles and other documents for matters
• Managing and organising deadlines and key dates
• Assisting with filing and case administration
• Liaising with internal teams and external contacts
• Supporting with general Legal Secretary and administrative tasks
• Developing an understanding of IP processes and working practices

About You

• Around 6 months–1 year of experience within a law firm
• Experience as a Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant, Junior PA or similar
• Litigation experience would be useful, although IP experience is not essential
• Strong attention to detail and a highly organised approach
• Confident using Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems
• A proactive and positive attitude, with a willingness to learn
• Able to manage routine tasks accurately while developing your responsibilities over time
• Interested in building a long-term career within Intellectual Property
