AI & Business Improvement Partner
Location: Brandesburton, East Yorkshire
Salary: £40,000–£45,000 + up to 12.5% bonus
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: Hybrid, 3 days on site / 2 days working from home

Castle Employment Group is recruiting an AI & Business Improvement Partner for an established manufacturing business in East Yorkshire.
This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to work across the organisation, identifying where processes can be improved and using AI, automation and digital tools to turn those opportunities into practical, measurable results.
This isn't a pure AI development or Solutions Architect role. We're looking for someone who combines a business improvement mindset with practical knowledge of AI and automation, who can understand a problem, identify the right solution and work with internal teams and technical specialists to get it implemented.
What you'll be doing working across multiple departments, you'll act as the link between business challenges and technology solutions. You'll be responsible for:
You'll have the opportunity to work on projects across Sales, Commercial, Design, Manufacturing, Operations, Procurement, Finance and People.
What we're looking for, we're particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
You don't need to be a deeply technical AI engineer or Solutions Architect. What's more important is your ability to understand where technology can improve a business and help make that improvement happen.

What Could Your First 100 Days Look Like?
Days 1–30: Meet departmental leaders, understand the business, establish opportunities and identify and prioritise quick wins.
Days 31–60: Begin delivering short-sprint automation opportunities, establish how benefits will be measured and develop timings for the wider AI opportunity pipeline.
Days 61–100: Deliver measurable efficiency improvements, move successful pilots into live operations, develop departmental AI use cases and help shape the annual AI improvement programme.
Salary & Benefits Alongside a salary of £40,000–£45,000, the package includes:
Due to the location of the site and limited public transport options, you'll need to drive and have access to your own transport.

- Evaluating AI, automation and digital solutions to determine the best fit for different business requirements.
- Developing practical AI-enabled workflows, assistants, copilots and business tools.
- Running short sprints, proof-of-concepts and pilot projects before progressing successful solutions into live use.
- Working closely with IT and internal specialists to ensure solutions integrate effectively with existing systems.
- Evaluating technology providers and external partners where additional expertise is required.
- Building and prioritising a pipeline of business improvement opportunities.
- Supporting teams with the adoption of new AI tools and ways of working.
- Delivering training, practical guidance and best practice.
- Tracking improvements and demonstrating measurable value to the business.

What we're looking for, we're particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
- Experience in business improvement, process improvement, digital transformation or technology-enabled change.
- A practical understanding of AI and automation and where these technologies can add genuine business value.
- Experience with tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Power Platform, Power BI, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to understand business requirements and evaluate appropriate technology solutions.
- Confidence working with operational teams and senior stakeholders.
- Experience taking ideas from opportunity through to implementation and user adoption.
- A commercial mindset with an interest in measuring whether improvements genuinely deliver value.

- Knowledge of workflow automation.
