Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 per annum
Location: Essex & Greater London

Our client is looking for several Multi-Trade Engineer Assistants to join their maintenance team. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will support the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across railway stations and associated buildings throughout Essex and Greater London.

The Role

Working alongside experienced engineers and supported by colleagues and mentors, you will gain hands-on experience across a range of trades while developing the knowledge, practical skills and confidence needed to progress into a multi-skilled engineering role.

As a Multi-Trade Engineer Assistant, you will assist with responsive repairs, planned maintenance and void works, learning how to complete repairs safely, professionally and to a high standard.

You will gain valuable experience in diagnosing issues, carrying out repairs and providing excellent customer service across railway stations and associated buildings.

Throughout your training, you will develop skills in:

• Supporting specialist electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and fire engineers
• Plumbing maintenance and repairs
• General building maintenance
• Fault diagnosis and problem solving
• Health and safety best practice
• Customer service and communication
• Using mobile technology and digital repair management systems
• Organising materials, equipment and workloads effectively

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Practical and hands-on, with at least 1 year's experience in labouring or a trade environment
• Safety-conscious, dependable and reliable
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Confident communicating with customers, station staff and contractors
• Organised and able to maintain accurate digital records
• Keen to learn and develop their technical skills
• Appropriately trained and competent to undertake any specialist work required
