Lecturer Plumbing x2

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Lecturer in Plumbing to join our team. You will teach and assess learners across a range of Plumbing programmes, from Entry Level to Level 3, supporting both young people and adult learners. You will use your industry knowledge and practical experience to deliver engaging, high-quality teaching that helps learners develop the skills and confidence needed to achieve their qualifications and progress in their chosen careers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality teaching, training and assessment across accredited Plumbing qualifications, both in College and, where required, on employers’ premises.
• Plan and deliver engaging, learner-centred programmes that develop learners’ practical skills and industry knowledge.
• Assess and support students and apprentices from induction through to successful achievement, providing regular feedback and guidance.
• Develop schemes of work, assessment plans, learning outcomes and individual learning plans.
• Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate course, assessment and training records.
• Work closely with colleagues, employers and awarding bodies to support the delivery and development of Plumbing qualifications.
• Contribute to curriculum development, course reviews and continuous improvement of the Plumbing provision.

Who You Are:

You will be a qualified Plumber with relevant hands-on experience within the Plumbing industry and a passion for sharing your knowledge with learners. You will hold a relevant teaching or training qualification, such as DTTLS or PGCE, and ideally an A1 Assessor Award, with the V1 Award being desirable. You will be organised, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team, with experience of developing assessment plans and schemes of work. You will also demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding, equality and diversity, and supporting all learners to achieve their potential.
