HR Advisor

Southampton, UK CMA Recruitment Group CMA Recruitment Group is partnering with a well-established engineering organisation in Southampton to recruit an HR Advisor. Working as part of a supportive HR team, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a high-quality HR service across the employee lifecycle, supporting both managers and employees while helping to drive continuous improvement across HR processes and practices. What will the HR Advisor role involve? Supporting the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, contractual changes, and leaver processes Acting as a first point of contact for HR-related queries from managers and employees Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring HR documentation is up to date and compliant Assisting with performance management processes, probation reviews, absence management, and employee relations matters Supporting employee development initiatives and engagement activities across the business Producing HR reports and management information to support decision-making Ensuring HR practices remain compliant with employment legislation and company policies Contributing to ongoing HR projects and process improvement initiatives Suitable Candidate for the HR Advisor vacancy: Previous experience within a HR Advisor, HR Coordinator, or HR Administration role Good understanding of the employee lifecycle and current UK employment legislation Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional and approachable manner High levels of confidentiality, discretion, and attention to detail CIPD Level 3 qualified, studying towards CIPD, or equivalent HR experience would be advantageous Additional benefits and information for the role of HR Advisor: Competitive salary dependent on experience Pension scheme and healthcare benefits Enhanced annual leave entitlement Ongoing training and professional development opportunities Supportive and collaborative working environment Flexible working options available following successful completion of probation Opportunity to join a respected organisation within the engineering sector CMA Recruitment Group is acting as a recruitment agency in relation to this role.
