This independent SEMH specialist school supports students aged 11–16, many with EHCPs and diagnoses such as ADHD or ASD.

The Role

As a Maths Teacher, you’ll deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of small groups and individual students. You’ll create a supportive, positive classroom atmosphere where each learner can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and teach Maths lessons to small groups and individuals

• Prepare resources, take registers, and write reports

• Support students’ confidence, resilience, and independence

• Manage behaviour effectively and maintain a nurturing classroom environment

• Mark work and communicate consistently with parents/carers

Requirements

• Passionate about supporting students with SEND

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an SEND or alternative provision setting

• QTS/QTLS qualification

• Patient, supportive, and able to build strong relationships
