About the role

Job summary

We are looking for a Communications AI Integration Lead to lead the practical adoption and integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging digital tools for the Corporate Communications teams, improving the design, delivery and evaluation of all communications campaigns.

This is a new role with the chance to shape how AI is used within HM Land Registry’s communications.

Job description

As the Communications AI Integration Lead, the role will focus on developing and leading on the use of AI tools. The role will be responsible for the review of existing methods of data collection through AI for horizon scanning, campaign and channel evaluation and social media insight at HM Land Registry (HMLR).

The role will focus on practical application of AI within the communications function, enabling more effective objective setting, analysis of audience insight, content creation, engagement, and evaluation, while ensuring the use of AI is safe, ethical, and aligned with HMLR and wider civil service standards.

You will have the opportunity to create tools and processes that do not currently exist, such as bespoke AI dashboards and automated tracking systems. You will have the chance to pilot and iterate solutions and establish ways of working that will define how HMLR’s communications teams use AI and digitisation.

Person specification

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following throughout the recruitment process.

Experience:

  • AI & Automation: Practical experience using AI and automation tools to improve workflows (e.g., prompt design, automated summarisation, and classification).
  • Dashboard design: Expertise in building automated reporting products and dashboards using tools like Power BI or Looker Studio to turn complex data into actionable insight.
  • Analytical Capability: Ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative insights, identify where further evidence or clarification is needed, and produce reports that inform and influence communications strategies.
  • Implementing Change: Experience embedding monitoring tools (e.g., social listening, reputation tracking) into an organisation’s workflow.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to introduce new ways of working across diverse teams and influence at a senior level.
  • Guidance Creation: Experience producing high-quality guidance and training materials to ensure the effective and sustainable adoption of new technologies.
  • Team development: Experience mentoring/coaching colleagues to build in-house capability and confidence with new tools.
Where an individual taking up the responsibility will be based in Swansea Office, the ability to speak Welsh is desirable. This will not be tested in the application or interview process.

HMLR expect everyone to spend at least 60% of their working time in the office.
