Parcel Sorter – Friday Shift

Looking for a regular shift to fit around university or college? Pertemps is recruiting Parcel Sorters to support Royal Mail at its Midlands Super Hub in Northampton. 

You’ll work a regular Friday shift, with the chance to pick up additional Saturday and Sunday shifts when available. It’s a great way to earn extra money alongside your studies, and you don’t need any previous warehouse experience.
You must be over the age of 18 to commence with us. 

Available shifts

Friday – required

• 6am start
  
  
• 2:00pm start
  
  

Optional additional shifts

• Saturday: 6am or 7:00pm start
  
  
• Sunday: 6:00am or 6:00pm start
  
  

What you’ll be doing

• Sorting and scanning parcels
  
  
• Loading and unloading parcels and pallets
  
  
• Moving parcels around the warehouse
  
  
• Preparing parcels for despatch
  
  
• Keeping your work area safe and organised
  
  

What you’ll need

Full training is provided, so no previous experience is necessary. You’ll just need to:

• To be over thw age of 18
• Be available to work every Friday
  
  
• Be reliable and punctual
  
  
• Be comfortable in a busy, active environment
  
  
• Be happy standing and walking for extended periods
  
  
• Be able to handle mail bags weighing up to 11kg and parcels weighing up to 30kg
  
  

Pay

Pay ranges from £13.69 per hour for morning and daytime shifts to £16.44 per hour for night shifts, depending on the shift agreed.
