Kingsgate Recruitment is working with a well-established law firm that is looking to recruit an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join its Family team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal with at least 12 months’ experience working within Family Law who is looking to develop their experience and work closely with an established team across a broad range of family matters.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Family, you will provide comprehensive paralegal and administrative support to the Family team and assist with all aspects of family law.

The firm operates on a fully electronic file basis, so you will need to be comfortable working with case management systems, online court portals and digital documentation.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Communicating and liaising with clients, courts and Counsel
• Preparing and collating legal documents, court forms and hearing bundles
• Undertaking legal research, investigation and drafting
• Drafting divorce applications and basic court documents for review
• Managing and monitoring the online court portal
• Opening and closing files and completing relevant compliance requirements
• Preparing client care documentation
• Monitoring outstanding compliance matters across files
• Ensuring electronic files and case records are accurate and kept up to date
• Providing general administrative support to the Family team
• Assisting with other duties as required

About You

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• A minimum of 12 months’ experience within a Family Law environment
• Previous experience working in a paralegal role
• A law degree or a non-law degree with an appropriate law conversion qualification
• A good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• Good working knowledge of Adobe
• Experience using ALB or a similar legal case management system
• Accurate typing and strong administrative skills
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• A professional and confident telephone manner
