Are you an organised administrator with excellent attention to detail and a passion for supporting vital healthcare services? Belfast Health & Social Care Trust is seeking a Band 4 General Administrative Assistant (GAA) to join the Family & Child Care Redaction Service.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting Subject Access Requests, ensuring sensitive information is managed securely, accurately and in line with GDPR and Data Protection legislation.

About the Role?

As a Redaction Service GAA, you will provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the Redaction Service team. You will assist with the retrieval, tracking, recording, security and redaction of records, while working closely with professional colleagues, external agencies and other Health and Social Care organisations.

The successful candidate will help ensure that information requests are processed efficiently, accurately and within required timescales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Redaction Service in processing Subject Access Requests.
  • Search, retrieve and track records across a range of electronic and manual systems.
  • Maintain accurate spreadsheets and audit trails for all requests received.
  • Assist in preparing reports, correspondence and management information.
  • Handle telephone, email and written enquiries professionally.
  • Liaise with internal departments, Data Protection teams and external agencies.
  • Ensure records are securely managed in accordance with GDPR and Trust policies.
  • Use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook to support daily administrative functions.
  • Attend meetings and provide administrative support as required.
