Lancashire County Council is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and solution-focused professional to join our Access to Resource Team (ART) as a SEND ART Brokerage Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to secure high-quality education placements and support services for children and young people with SEND. 

About the Role 

You will lead a team of Brokerage Officers, work closely with schools, providers and partners, oversee complex placement activity, support market engagement and ensure placements deliver excellent outcomes and value for money. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead and manage SEND Brokerage Officers. 
• Secure specialist education placements. 
• Build strong provider relationships. 
• Monitor activity and performance. 
• Identify gaps in provision. 
• Support innovative solutions for children with complex needs. 

What We Are Looking For 

Experience within SEND, education, commissioning, brokerage or children’s services. Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, excellent negotiation skills, resilience, and a commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people.
