Heating Engineer

Colchester, Essex Effective Recruitment Solutions Ltd Heating Engineer We are recruiting for an experienced Heating Engineer to join an established business covering Colchester and the surrounding area. This is a permanent position offering excellent working hours, no call-out rota and a company vehicle. As a Heating Engineer, you will primarily carry out servicing, breakdowns, fault finding and repairs across domestic heating systems, with installation work accounting for approximately 10% of the role. The role Service, diagnose and repair domestic gas heating appliances Attend boiler breakdowns and identify faults Work towards a high first-time-fix rate Carry out gas tightness testing and safety checks Use flue gas analysers and diagnostic equipment Install and replace boilers, radiators and TRVs Carry out power flushing and general heating maintenance Complete occasional plumbing work Record completed works and materials through company systems Maintain van stock and deliver excellent customer service as a Heating Engineer Oil heating work where appropriately qualified The successful Heating Engineer will need Current domestic gas ACS qualifications Strong boiler servicing, breakdown and fault-finding experience Good knowledge of domestic heating systems Experience with heating installation and maintenance Ability to diagnose faults independently Full UK driving licence Oil qualifications/experience would be advantageous Professional approach and strong customer service skills expected of a Heating Engineer Package £45,000-£55,000 depending on experience and qualifications Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm No call-out rota Optional weekend overtime may be available Company vehicle and fuel card Flue gas analyser provided PDA and work phone PPE and uniform 23 days' annual leave + bank holidays Contributory pension Training opportunitiesThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Heating Engineer looking for a well-paid position without a call-out rota.
