About the role
FLT DRIVER REQUIRED – CHEADLE, SK8 3BB
We are currently looking for 1 experienced FLT Driver to join a busy construction site in Cheadle.
JOB DETAILS
Location: Cheadle, SK8 3BB
Position: FLT Driver
Number of Operatives Required: 1
Start Date: Sunday 27th September 2026
THE ROLE
The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating the FLT and assisting with the movement of materials around site.
You will be working as part of the site team and must be confident operating the machine safely in a busy construction environment.
Duties will include:
- Operating the FLT safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Moving materials around the site
- Placing materials in designated areas
- Assisting with deliveries and general site logistics
- Carrying out daily safety checks on the FLT
- Maintaining a safe working area
- Working alongside other trades and plant operators
- Following site health and safety procedures
- Carrying out general site duties when required
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid FLT ticket/licence
- Previous experience operating an FLT
- Construction or busy site experience preferred
- Full PPE
- Good understanding of site health and safety
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work as part of a team
- Confident operating the FLT around pedestrians and other site plant
START DATE
The position is available to start Sunday 27th September 2026, so candidates must be available for the start date.
