About the role
HGV Class 2 Driver (Category C)
Chesterfield | £17.11 per hour | £25.66 overtime
Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for a well-established business based in the Chesterfield area.
Shifts will be between Monday – Friday, starting at either 06:00am or 07:00am.
The Role:
- Driving Class 2 (Category C) vehicles for scheduled deliveries and collections
- Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Loading and unloading where required
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately
- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and efficiently
- Following driver hours, tachograph and road transport regulations
The Candidate:
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 2 driving experience
- Maximum 3 penalty points preferred
- Manual driving experience
- Good geographical knowledge
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Strong understanding of road safety and H&S
The Benefits:
- £17.11 per hour
- £25.66 per hour overtime after 36 hours
- Monday to Friday
- 06:00am or 7:00am starts
- Weekly pay
- Temporary assignment
