General Nurse – Primary Care

Are you a Registered Nurse with recent UK Primary Care experience seeking flexible locum opportunities across East London and Essex?

Bluestones Medical is actively recruiting experienced Registered Nurses to support a variety of nursing shifts within GP practises.

The Role

Depending on the practise and your individual experience and competencies, your responsibilities may include:

• Delivering routine clinical nursing care within a GP practise environment

• Conducting clinical observations and routine patient assessments

• Measuring blood pressure, pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation and other vital signs

• Performing venepuncture and blood sampling

• Recording ECGs

• Providing wound care and managing dressing changes

• Administering vaccinations and immunisations, where appropriately trained and competent

• Conducting health checks and delivering preventative care

• Supporting patients with long-term conditions

• Promoting health and providing patient education

• Assisting GPs and the wider primary care team

• Maintaining accurate and comprehensive clinical records

• Recognising and escalating clinical concerns appropriately

• Working within your professional scope of practise and individual competencies

Requirements

• Current NMC registration

• Proven UK General Practise or Primary Care experience

• Confidence working independently within a GP practise or similar primary care setting

• Relevant clinical nursing competencies aligned with the shifts undertaken

• Excellent communication skills with a patient-centred approach

• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

• Up-to-date mandatory training and compliance

• Experience using EMIS or SystmOne clinical systems
