Multi Skilled Fabric and Fire Door Technician

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing and well-established construction and facilities management business delivering high-quality projects and maintenance services across the South West.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Fire Door Carpenter to work on a dedicated hospitality sector contract, carrying out fire door inspections, maintenance, repairs and compliance works. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled carpenter with strong knowledge of fire door regulations who is looking for a long-term career with a business that offers genuine progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out fire door maintenance, repairs and remedial works in line with current regulations and legislation.
• Assess work requirements and prepare accurate quotations for labour and materials.
• Liaise directly with clients, providing technical guidance and explaining compliance requirements.
• Inspect, certify and sign off completed works to the required standards.
• Complete and maintain accurate job records, reports and compliance documentation.
• Upload photographs, certification and supporting documentation to company systems.
• Support account management and billing teams by resolving client queries and providing job-related information.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or equivalent qualification.
• Strong carpentry and general maintenance experience.
• Sound understanding of fire door regulations, compliance requirements and certification processes.
• Experience carrying out fire door inspections, repairs and remedial works.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to produce clear reports, notes and documentation.
• Good IT skills and experience using mobile devices and job management systems.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach to work.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
