About the role
Our client, a leading engineering consultancy, is seeking an experienced Associate or Associate Director to support the leadership and growth of its Birmingham highways and infrastructure team on a permanent basis. The role will provide technical leadership across public sector highway projects, while contributing to client management, team development, framework growth and business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead multidisciplinary highways and infrastructure projects from planning through to delivery
- Manage key client relationships across local authorities and public sector organisations
- Support business development, framework growth and work-winning activities
- Provide technical governance, quality assurance and project oversight
- Lead, mentor and develop engineering teams
- Contribute to the strategic planning and continued growth of the Birmingham operation
- Support the delivery of public sector highways schemes, local authority infrastructure programmes and major transportation projects
Job Requirements:
- Significant consultancy experience within highways and infrastructure engineering
- Proven experience managing public sector clients, frameworks and commissions
- Strong understanding of highways design, infrastructure planning and project delivery
- Established client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Chartered Engineer status through the ICE or an equivalent professional institution
- Experience providing team leadership, technical direction and commercial oversight
- Strong knowledge of major transportation and urban infrastructure developments
- Excellent communication, project management and business development abilities
Project Environment:
The successful Associate or Associate Director will contribute to a varied portfolio of public sector highways schemes, local authority infrastructure programmes, Birmingham City Council projects and framework commissions.
