Consultant General Medicine — Lagan Valley Hospital, Lisburn
Grayscale Medical is recruiting a Consultant in General Medicine for a locum assignment at Lagan Valley Hospital, Lisburn, within the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust. This is a day shift position running from November 2026 through February 2027, offering an assignment rate of £100 per hour.
The Role
You will join the General Medicine department at Lagan Valley Hospital, providing consultant-level medical cover across inpatient wards and acute medical admissions. Responsibilities include leading ward rounds, managing complex medical presentations, supervising junior medical staff, and contributing to multidisciplinary team decision-making. The post involves working alongside resident medical and nursing teams to deliver high-quality patient care across the trust's general medicine services.
Lagan Valley Hospital serves the Lisburn and Castlereagh area as part of the South Eastern HSC Trust, one of Northern Ireland's five Health and Social Care trusts. The hospital provides a range of acute and elective medical services, making this an excellent opportunity for a consultant experienced in acute general and internal medicine.
Requirements
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register for General Medicine (or equivalent experience)
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
- Up-to-date DBS or AccessNI clearance
- Professional indemnity insurance
- Minimum of two professional references
