The Opportunity A well-established and highly regarded law firm is seeking an ambitious Private Client Solicitor with ideally 7+ years' PQE to join its successful Private Client team based in Thame. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Private Client Lawyer looking to work on high-quality matters within a supportive and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of private client matters while working closely with high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners across a broad range of complex matters. Working alongside experienced colleagues within a respected team, you will have the opportunity to build long-term client relationships, contribute to business development initiatives and play a key role in the continued growth and success of the department. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement with three days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing a varied caseload of private client matters including Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, Trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
  • Advising clients on estate planning, wealth preservation and succession planning matters.
  • Providing pragmatic, commercially aware and client-focused legal advice.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional contacts.
  • Supporting business development initiatives and helping to grow the Private Client practice.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior members of the team where appropriate.

You will likely have:

  • Ideally 7+ years' PQE within Private Client law.
  • Experience handling your own caseload of Wills, Probate, Trusts and Estate Administration matters.
  • Strong technical knowledge across Private Client work.
  • Excellent client care and relationship management skills.
  • A proactive approach to business development and networking.
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities.
  • A collaborative approach and desire to contribute to the long-term success of the team.
