We are seeking an inspiring and passionate Teacher of Drama who can ignite a love of the performing arts, empower students to find their voice and nurture the confidence to perform both on and off the stage. At Thistley Hough Academy, Drama is a dynamic and celebrated part of school life, with students regularly taking centre stage in productions, performances, theatre visits, professional workshops and collaborations with industry experts. You will play a key role in shaping these experiences, creating engaging lessons and unforgettable opportunities that spark imagination, develop talent and raise aspirations. Alongside your enthusiasm for Drama, experience of or confidence in supporting KS3 Music would be advantageous, helping us deliver a rich, diverse and vibrant Performing Arts programme where every student has the opportunity to shine.

Our Ideal candidate will have:

• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status and a degree relevant to Performing Arts, with strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring creativity and excellence in the classroom.
• Outstanding Teaching & Assessment: Proven track record of outstanding teaching, including effective planning, marking and assessment, using progress data to drive high achievement and student success.
• Performing Arts Expertise: Successful experience teaching Performing Arts at Key Stage 3 and 4, including the BTEC Tech Award in Performing Arts, delivering engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
• Student Relationships & Motivation: Ability to build positive and productive relationships with students, fostering a supportive environment where all learners are motivated, engaged and able to make strong progress.
