The Opportunity - Accounts Assistant for 2 year - Fixed Term Contract (likely to go perm), £30k+ bonus, hybrid working based in Newcastle
Join a busy finance team where you'll support the delivery of accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, and financial controls. Working with stakeholders across the business, you'll help ensure the integrity of financial records and contribute to efficient finance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Bank reconciliations, payment processing, and cash management
- Balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments
- Intercompany accounting and reconciliations
- Fixed asset accounting, including depreciation and disposals
- Support tax compliance, reporting, and audit activities
- Assist with employee-related accounting and ad hoc finance tasks
About You
- Previous experience in a general ledger, financial accounting, or bookkeeping role
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Able to work accurately to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive, organised, and committed to continuous improvement
