Year 4 Class Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 4 Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in St Helens from October 2026.

The successful candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

This is a long term role to cover a staff absence for an initial period of 12 weeks.

The Role

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on pupil progress.
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, staff, and parents.
• Supporting the wider life of the school community.
• Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 4.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills.
• Has strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Is passionate about raising attainment and inspiring young learners.
• Can quickly build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
