About the Role

Randstad Social Care is seeking an experienced, high-calibre Social Work Team Manager to lead a dedicated Adult Mental Health team in Renfrewshire (based out of Paisley). This position offers an exceptional opportunity to drive high-quality service delivery, oversee complex risk management, and provide strong clinical and operational direction to experienced practitioners.

Whether you are an established Team Manager or a Senior/Advanced Practitioner looking to step up into management, this role offers fantastic leadership scope within a supportive Health & Social Care Partnership.


Key Responsibilities
    • Team Leadership & Operational Oversight: Provide robust line management, supervision, and professional guidance to a team of Social Workers and Mental Health Officers (MHOs).
    • Safeguarding & Risk Management: Oversee complex Adult Support & Protection (ASP) enquiries, high-risk escalations, and statutory decisions across adult mental health caseloads.
    • Statutory Compliance & Standards: Ensure service delivery strictly complies with the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act, Adults with Incapacity (AWI) Act, and local governance frameworks.
    • Case Allocation & Prioritisation: Manage workflow allocation, monitor caseloads, and conduct quality assurance audits to maintain accurate statutory reporting and high care standards.
    • Multi-Agency Collaboration: Partner strategically with NHS health colleagues, community mental health teams, police, and housing services to deliver integrated care.


Requirements
  • Professional Registration: Active registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Social Worker.
  • Qualifications: Recognised Degree or Diploma in Social Work (BA Hons, DipSW, MSc); an MHO post-graduate qualification or management award is highly desirable.
  • Vetting: Valid membership in the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) scheme for working with protected adults.
  • Experience: Proven post-qualifying supervisory or management experience within statutory Adult Social Work / Mental Health settings in Scotland.
