Overview
Randstad UK is expanding its team across Merseyside due to new
framework wins and growing demand. We are seeking passionate,
experienced tutors for flexible, 1-to-1 and small-group tuition across Maths,
English, Science, and other core subjects. Sessions run primarily during
school hours (09:00-15:00), making this position ideal for educators
seeking a strong work-life balance.
Key Details
● Student Age Range: Key Stage 1 through to Year 13 / Post-16
support.
● Hours & Flexibility: 1 to 15 hours per week per student; set your
schedule during the 09:00-15:00 window.
● Work Settings: Local school premises, student homes, public
spaces (e.g., local libraries), or via our dedicated online video
platform.
● Specialisms: Core academic subjects, with high demand for tutors
experienced in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or
Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) support.

Key Responsibilities
● Deliver high-quality tuition aligned with the current UK National
Curriculum.
● Use Randstad's baseline assessment tool to streamline lesson
planning, prep, and progress tracking.
● Design tailored lesson plans addressing individual learning styles,
academic gaps, and social development.
● Adapt teaching strategies for students with SEND/SEMH to create
inclusive, accessible learning environments.
● Build long-term, supportive relationships to boost student confidence
and self-esteem.
● Maintain ongoing communication with families, schools, and
Randstad regarding student progress.


Requirements
● Proven experience tutoring or teaching Maths, English, or Science.
● Solid understanding of the UK National Curriculum (KS1-KS5).
● Practical experience supporting students with SEND/SEMH.
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
● An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for
one).
