About the role
Salary: £17,702 - £17,982 (FTE: £26,016 - £26,427)
Hours of Work: 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08:45 - 15:15), including an unpaid break
Contract: Fixed-Term initially until 31 August 2027
Grade: 4

The role may include working 1-1 supporting special needs in school as well as general classroom Teaching Assistant duties

The Role
Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will support pupils across the school. The role may include one-to-one support for children with additional needs alongside general classroom Teaching Assistant duties, helping pupils to develop confidence, independence and achieve their best.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils individually and in groups.
- Encourage positive behaviour and independence.
- Assist with classroom activities and lesson preparation.
- Support literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum learning.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Participate in educational visits and school activities.
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and policies at all times.
Requirements
- GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Enjoy working with children and building positive relationships.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
