Catering Assistant

Provide Education is seeking a reliable and hardworking Catering Assistant to join a friendly and well-organised school in Elland, supporting the day-to-day running of the kitchen and dining service. 
This is a part-time, ongoing position, working during school hours to support meal preparation and service for pupils and staff. The role offers a consistent routine and is ideal for individuals looking for work that fits around other commitments. 
The school has a supportive kitchen team and a strong focus on maintaining high standards of hygiene and service. 
 
Catering Assistant benefits

Catering Assistant role requirements 

• Previous experience in catering, hospitality or food preparation (desirable)
  • Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
  • Ability to work as part of a team 
  • Reliable and punctual approach 
  • Good communication skills 
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workspace 
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply 

 
The successful Catering Assistant will: 

• Assistwith food preparation and basic cooking tasks 
  • Serve meals to pupils and staff 
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas 
  • Follow food hygiene and safety procedures at all times 
  • Support the kitchen team during busy service periods 
  • Ensure a positive dining experience for pupils
