About the role
Main Responsibilities of the role
- As part of project teams, deploy new products and upgrades of systems as well as new equipment within our state-of-the-art labelling and packaging lines.
- Working in projects of different complexity and assuring a high quality deployment with the asset lifecycle in mind.
- Be the electrical expert for our Maintenance & Engineering team as well as project teams.
- Act as IV for the assigned production area under the overall electrical-safety framework and guidance of the Site IV, with responsibility for the electrical installation within the assigned production scope.
- Manage electrical safety within the assigned production area, including planned and corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance programs, required electrical documentation, and review of electrical aspects of modifications and maintenance activities.
- Define and follow up electrical safety inspections, including periodic NEN 3140/NEN-EN-IEC 60204-1 inspections, machine and equipment inspections, electrical panels, protective devices, earthing and bonding, and testing following modifications or repairs. Ensure registration and follow-up of inspection findings.
- Review qualifications and manage personnel appointments within the M&E team according to NEN 3140, including management of ECPs.
- Review electrical modifications to production equipment and ensure alignment with applicable electrical-safety requirements as well as GMP change control and QA requirements, where applicable.
- Provide second line support to shopfloor technicians for complex electrical problems.
- Structurally investigate complex problems relating to process or equipment and assist with recommending and implementing solutions.
- Independently plan and execute all maintenance and engineering related tasks in your assigned projects.
- Write test protocols, perform technical evaluations, and submit technical assessment reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors (i.e. Equipment Engineering, Automation, Digital, Validation, QA, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, etc.).
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in the field of electrical engineering or related technological field of equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 7+ years of relevant work experience with 5+ years in operations / manufacturing environment.
- In depth electrical knowledge.
- Demonstrable experience as an appointed Installation Responsible Person (IV) under NEN 3140, combined with strong practical knowledge of NEN-EN-IEC 60204-1.
- Experience in project management techniques, preferably in CAPEX projects.
- Strong practical knowledge of applicable Dutch electrical-safety laws, regulations and standards, including NEN 3140 and Arbobesluit.
- Analytical troubleshooting experience preferred.
- Direct experience with regulated environment (GMP, OSHA, EPA).
- Experience with ISO 13849-1 and/or IEC 62061 is preferred if responsibilities related to machine safety functions are included in the role.
- Willing to occasionally work outside office hours.
- Fluency in English, both in oral and written communication. Dutch language proficiency is mandatory, with native-level Dutch proficiency strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.
