Alternative Provision Coordinator

The Role

We are seeking an Alternative Provision Coordinator to join our support team at The Oxford Academy. You will either have experience in student support, pastoral care, SEN/SEMH intervention, and alternative provision management, or demonstrate the aptitude and drive to develop into the role with structured support.

In this role, you will lead on the planning, tracking, coordination, and evaluation of alternative provisions across the school. This includes managing off-site placements with local colleges or charities, coordinating internal interventions such as mentoring and art therapy, handling financial invoices, and supporting student reintegration back into mainstream lessons.

As Alternative Provision Coordinator, you ensure that every intervention, whether an off-site college placement or internal mentoring, is structured, tracked, and regularly reviewed. You will act as the crucial link between inclusion teams, external providers, parents, and students, ensuring no child falls through the gaps.
