Maths Teacher | DN17 | Temporary Long Term Placement

A secondary school in DN17 is seeking a Maths Teacher to join their teaching team on a temporary, long term basis. You will teach students across KS3 and KS4, helping them develop their mathematical understanding and prepare for future study. Immediate start available following completion of checks. We are looking for a teacher with a good understanding of secondary Maths and the ability to deliver lessons to students with different levels of attainment.

The successful candidate will have:
• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge and experience across KS3 and KS4 (ECT placements included)
• The ability to plan effective lessons
• Good behaviour management skills
• The ability to work as part of a department to further students learning

Key Responsibilities of the Role:
• Teach Maths across KS3 and KS4
• Plan and prepare lessons in line with the secondary mathematics curriculum
• Support students who require additional help with their learning
• Provide appropriate challenge for students
• Assess work, monitor progress and give feedback to help students improve
• Establish and maintain classroom routines
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Maths department
