About the role
Role: Senior Business Analyst, Contractor Optimization
Work Duration: September 28, 2026 – December 31, 2027
Work Location: Saskatoon, SK, 2-3 days on site per week
Role Description / Key Responsibilities
- This is an exciting opportunity to support the efficient deployment and productivity of Cameco’s contracted resources through the optimization of the Contractor Management program, including updated and realigned process maps, gap assessments, and documentation of technical requirements
Skills / Previous Experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with extensive experience developing business requirements, technical documentation, process documentation, work instructions, and executive-level reports.
- 10+ years of Business Analysis experience, including process optimization, continuous improvement, business process re-engineering, and requirements elicitation.
- Proven experience with process mapping, facilitating workshops, stakeholder engagement, and gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements.
- Strong data analysis capabilities, including the ability to collect, validate, analyze, and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, root causes, process inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Ability to synthesize complex information and data into concise, actionable insights, recommendations, dashboards, reports, and visualizations for diverse audiences.
- Experience defining and measuring process performance through KPIs, metrics, benchmarking, and process effectiveness assessments.
- Knowledge and practical application of process improvement methodologies, business analysis best practices, and design thinking principles.
- Training or educational background with an understanding of adult learning principles and the ability to develop and deliver effective training and change management materials.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute work plans, manage priorities, and deliver project objectives within established timelines.
- Experience working on cross-functional project teams and collaborating with business, technical, and operational stakeholders.
- Project management, operational excellence, Lean, Six Sigma, or construction industry experience is considered an asset.
Technology
- Proficient digital literacy with advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with business analysis, process mapping, and visualization tools.
- Familiarity with collaboration tools including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint administration, and Visio.
- Experience using data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools such as Power BI, Excel Power Query/Pivot Tables, or similar is considered an asset.
