Grayscale Medical is recruiting a locum Specialty Doctor in Obstetrics & Gynaecology for the Northern Health and Social Care Trust, based at Causeway Hospital in Coleraine. This is a day shift position at an assignment rate of £60.00 per hour, starting 1 October 2026 through to 1 January 2027.

This O&G locum role involves providing specialist-level care across the obstetrics and gynaecology department at Causeway Hospital. You will be responsible for the assessment and management of patients across antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and gynaecological pathways. Duties may include ward rounds, outpatient clinics, labour ward cover, emergency presentations, and theatre lists. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside consultants, trainees, midwives, and nursing staff.

Candidates should have substantive experience at Specialty Doctor level or equivalent in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. Competence in managing both routine and acute obstetric and gynaecological presentations is essential. Experience in an HSC or NHS trust setting is highly desirable.

Requirements:

• Full GMC registration with licence to practise
• Right to work in the UK
• Up-to-date DBS or AccessNI clearance
• Professional indemnity insurance
• Minimum two professional references
• Current BLS/ILS certification
• Safeguarding and infection control training
