Term Time Only, 43.89 weeks per year

Castle View are looking to appoint a Welfare Assistant. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safety, well-being, and happiness of our pupils during the school day. From supervising lunchtimes and encouraging positive play in the playground to providing gentle guidance and assistance, you will help create a welcoming, safe environment where every child feels valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise pupils during lunch break in dining areas, classrooms, and playgrounds.
  • Encourage inclusive play and promote positive behaviour in line with school values.
  • Attend to basic first aid needs or minor incidents with care and patience.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a supportive staff team.

About you:

  • A compassionate, calm, and approachable manner with children.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-player attitude.
  • First Aid qualification (or a willingness to undertake training).
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.

Visits to the Academy are encouraged and warmly welcomed by appointment through the office.
